Hi... My name's Becky. I've been doing Taekwondo since the age of 5, and I am now currently on my 3rd Dan Black Belt at the age of 20. I was Britain's youngest black belt at the age of 8 and have competed in both disciplines on many different levels, including nationally and internationally throughout my time doing the sport, gaining the title of National Champion in the Poomsae (patterns) consecutively for three years. I believe Taekwondo is a brilliant sport to pursue, as not only does it develop your stamina, flexibility and overall fitness, but it also increases confidence, allows you to meet new friends and is above all a thoroughly motivating and enjoyable sport!
I am started practising TKD in September 2005 with Master Des Day, I am currently ranked a 2nd Dan and will be eligible for my 3rd Dan in 2011; I also have learnt boxing and Ninjitsu which has played an integral part in my development within Taekwondo. The things I enjoy about Taekwondo are the discipline, striving to be the best I can be, the adrenalin rush of performing in front of hundreds of people. I have competed at both National and International events taking trophies and titles along the way. One of my proudest moments in Taekwondo was being singled out of a class of 80+ at my 1st Dan grading by Grandmaster Park Soo Nam (9th Dan) for my performance and etiquette.
Hi my name is Hayley; I've been learning WTF Taekwondo for some seven years under the instruction of Master Des Day. I obtained my 1st Dan black belt in 2008 and am now in training for my 2nd Dan. I have also been teaching children and juniors which is great because you see them start to excel in all areas of the martial art of TKD which really motivates me. I have competed both in Kyrugi and Poomsae and started to accumulate my haul of medals including golds, silver and bronze.
