The European Taekwondo Union is the official governing body of all Taekwondo matters in Europe. It consists of the National Taekwondo Federations of all European member nations and regulates all Taekwondo matters on a continental basis.

The World Taekwondo Federation is the International Federation [IF] governing the sport of Taekwondo and is a member of the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations [ASOIF]. Sport Taekwondo UK Ltd (Sport TKD Ltd) is the performance arm of the British Taekwondo Control Board and is responsible or all aspects of Taekwondo related to the Olympic Games. Sport Taekwondo UK Ltd is charged with running and developing all aspects of the Taekwondo Olympic sport development in the UK and the running of Major Events.

   

 

  The British Olympic Association (BOA) is the National Olympic Committee (NOC) for Great Britain and Northern Ireland. It was formed in 1905 in the House of Commons, and at that time consisted of seven National Governing Body members from the following sports: fencing, life-saving, cycling, skating, rowing, athletics, rugby, football and archery. The BOA now includes as its members the thirty-five National Governing Bodies of each Olympic sport including the British Taekwondo Control Board.
     
 

UK SPORT established by Royal Charter in 1996, UK Sport works in partnership with the home country sports councils and other agencies to lead sport in the UK to world-class success. UK Sport is responsible for managing and distributing public investment and is a statutory distributor of funds raised by the National Lottery and is accountable to Parliament through the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.
